Upgrade to Projetex 7.0

Projetex 7.0 can be installed and run along with earlier Projetex versions for evaluation purposes.

To upgrade from Projetex 2006 to Projetex 7.0, you will need to install new Projetex 7.0, and import your database from Projetex 2006. Please be sure to back your database up before upgrading.

Installing and registering Projetex 7.0

Install Projetex 7.0 Server first opting not to install database in the process. If you have Projetex 2006 Server installed on your PC, Setup will prompt you to reinstall Firebird Database Server. It is recommended that you proceed with Firebird Database Server reinstall (the procedure will be completed automatically).

Copying your Projetex 2006 database into Projetex 7.0

Projetex 7.0 will be able to work with database of Projetex 2006. You can either back it up on 2006 and restore on Projetex 7.0, or simply copy your database file from Projetex 2006 Server setup folder to Projetex 7.0 Server setup folder:

1. Copy the file Projetex.fdb from Database folder in Projetex 2006 setup folder (default location is \Projetex 2006 Server\Database\Projetex.fdb).

2. Paste it into Projetex 7.0 setup folder (default location is \Program Files\AIT\Projetex 7.0\Projetex Server\Database\).

Note: If the location of your Business folder has been changed, please map the new location of Business folder in Projetex 7.0 Server Administrator. Then copy entire contents from old Business folder to new one.

Note: Templates, CAT schemes and Local Custom Filter settings will not be imported. Please move them manually to Projetex 7.0 setup folder. Below please find locations of templates, CAT schemes and Local Custom Filter settings in Projetex 2006 and in Projetex 7.0:

Update the database version

Database version is updated automatically during Projetex 7.0 Server setup.
